Parent training and in-home behavior consultation help families address behavioral and learning challenges as they arise in everyday life. Services focus on helping caregivers better understand behavior, use practical strategies, and feel more confident responding at home.

Guidance is flexible and tailored to each family’s routines and priorities, rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. Parent training is appropriate for families of children with or without a diagnosis and is grounded in evidence-based practices that support learning and behavior across developmental stages.

While services are individualized,

they may include:

  • Initial consultation to discuss concerns, strengths, and goals

  • Identifying behavior patterns and functions

  • Coaching and modeling of strategies

  • Support consistency across caregivers and settings

  • Review of  observations and information gathered to guide next steps

  • Development of visuals, resources, or tools to support implementation

  • Ongoing collaboration and adjustment of strategies over time

Families often seek parent training for

(but not limited to):

  • Frequent tantrums or big emotional reactions

  • Difficulty following directions or accepting limits

  • Challenges with daily routines

  • Difficulty with transitions or changes in routine

  • High activity level, impulsivity, or difficulty sustaining attention

  • Challenges with communication, social interaction, or expressing needs

  • Difficulty building independence or age-appropriate skills at home
